Mitä olisi Finncon ilman aivoetanoita? Jos joku ei tiedä, niin nämä söpöliinit ovat tuttuja sarjasta Futurama. Otin mallia Ravelryn ilmaisohjeesta Brain Slug ja muokkasin mieleni mukaan. Kumpainenkin etana on kiinnitetty mustaan hiuspantaan eli en lähtenyt tekemään i-cord nauhoja ohjeen mukaan. Toisaalta se olisi ollut helpompaa kuin kiinnittää nuo hiuspantoihin... Lankana on Regian Trendpoint sekä virkatuissa silmissä Dropsin Fabel. Yhteensä näihin kahteen etanaan upposi 92 grammaa lankaa. Etanat on neulottu kaksinkertaisesta langasta 3,5:n pyöröllä magic-loopaten. Ei mitään huimia miinuksia, mutta hauskaa varmasti on kuljeskella nämä etanat päässä. Saas nähdä onko seuralaisella pokkaa kulkea tuo päässä. Veikkaan että on.
Finncon 2014 is held in Jyväskylä 11. - 13.7. this year and that's where this geek is heading today. I had to improvise some accessories for the event as I'm not planning to participate in the costume contest. I had this vision in my head for some time now and almost didn't finish in time. I got hooked on geocaching and it's taking all my time these days. I did, however, manage to finish this funky pair in the last minute.
What would Finncon be without brain slugs? In case some of you don't know, these cuties are from the show Futurama. I used the free Brain Slug pattern from Ravelry as a basis for my slugs. Both are attached to headbands in stead of i-cords as suggested in the pattern. As a hind sight, those would've been easier to make than to attach these to headbands... I used Regia Trendpoint and some Drops Fabel to crochet the eyes. These used 92 grams of yarn in total using magic-loop with the yarn held doubled. Not a huge impact on my stash but I bet it'll be fun to walk around the con wearing these. I wonder if my companion has the nerve to wear one. I bet he does.
